Canada’s National Aboriginal Day is annually held on June 21 to
celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding
achievements of the nation’s Aboriginal peoples. There are three
Aboriginal groups in Canada – the First Nations, Inuit and Métis
peoples. To celebrate this day, we invited the Keehewin Dancers to perform for us. This group of dancers has a special connection to NDE. Grade 4 student, Tyshae is part of the dance group. Tyshae performed in three of the six dances that were presented to the school. We would like to extend a huge thank-you to the dancers for their awesome performance!
