ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THIS WEEK:
I would like to take this opporunity to share a few staff changes at NDE. Joan Karpa will be leaving us immediately to fill a vacancy at NDH. Ms. Patti Cust will be transferred on February 1 to start a new position teaching grade 1 Immersion at Holy Cross Elementary in Cold Lake. We will miss both of these ladies very much and wish them success in their new positions.

Welcome to Dodi Lukinuk who has been transferred from Dr. Brousseau to NDE as a student assistant.
Welcome to Mr. Travis Symon who will be taking over grade 3 English on February 1. Grade 3EC will become grade 3ES.
Parent Council is running a canteen for the athletes staying at our school during the Winter Games. The canteen will be on Thursday, February 4 from 7:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.. Parent council is looking for volunteers to work in the canteen. They are also looking for donations of baked goods. Please call the school and leave a message for Jean if you are interested in helping out. Proceeds will go towards the new K - 2 playground equipment. We have learned that we will not be receiving our full government grant for the playground so we are trying to make the most of every fundraising opportunity that we can. Parents who work in the canteen will be considered school volunteers, not Winter Games volunteers.
Student prayer group is cancelled until further notice.
