One vote per day per email address. PLEASE VOTE EVERYDAY!
Must have a valid email address (email will not be used for any purpose other than to ensure voting process is fair for all nominees)
Voting opens March 7th at 7:00am and closes March 20th at 10:00pm
The nominee with the most votes as of March 20th at 10:00pm will be The Lakeland's Most Amazing Person of 2011 and recieve the aforementioned prize
The staff at Notre Dame Elementary would like
to nominate Crystal Dechaine for the "Lakeland's Most Amazing
Person". Crystal has been giving selflessly of herself for many years in
our school environment. She is our Parent Partnership Association (PPA) chair.
With this title, she attends and runs one meeting monthly. Crystal also
coordinates our hot lunch program as well as many fundraising activities. We
received a new playground at our school last September due to her hard work and
diligence obtaining a grant as well as community donations. Crystal and her
family were there helping build the playground, guarding it while the cement
set, and then spread the sand. Crystal helps monthly in her child's
Kindergarten class where she helps the students perform tasks asked of them as
well as help with prep work. When someone is needed for help in either of her
children's classes, she never hesitates to come in. Crystal also promotes and
helps the school recycling program. Out of school, Crystal is the manager of her
daughter's hockey team where she organizes all of the games and trips. She also
organizes activities that help the players get to know each other on a personal
basis. While doing this, she makes sure that all of the families are informed
and get included. At the church level, Crystal teaches Sunday school. We, at
Notre Dame Elementary, sincerely hope you consider this giving, generous,
friendly, outgoing person for "Lakeland's Most Amazing Person"!

School Lenten Social Justice Project - Caring for Camp St. Louis.
Students are invited to earn extra money at home and donate it to this project. If the students raise $2000.00 by the end of March, staff will put on a talent show after Easter.

Shrove Tuesday - Crystal Dechaine, Deb Goodheart, Melissa Hebert, Jamie Wolfe, Patty King, Julie Cabana, Twila Gamache and Coralee Poltorak have all volunteered to come in and cook pancakes for all the students of the school. Pancakes will be served to students in their classes between 11:30 and 12:00. We will be having a reverse lunch today (lunch first, recess second). Students will still need to bring a lunch and drink that day. Teachers will also be spending time this day explaining to students the historical Christian meaning of Shrove Tuesday. Parents, do you know about an incredible kid in our school? If you do, you can get a ballot from the office and nominate them for a draw. One student from our school will be randomly chosen and will receive prizes. All ten school winners from the area will then be put into another draw for a grand prize.
We welcome parent input into decisions about your child's education. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child, please contact your child's teacher to set up an appointment. Should you have further questions after doing this, please contact the principal, Mrs. Hanson or the vice-principal, Mr. Côté so that we may assist you further.
