ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THIS WEEK:

Fourth Week of Advent

The fourth candle is also called the candle of love. This candle reflects the message of God's love in John 3:16 that explains He sent Jesus because he so loved the world.

The candle of love is a great reminder to share and express love. Hold a wreath hug by having a big group hug. Express love by praying for one another. Hold hands to form a human wreath and say a short prayer of thanks for the person on the right, going around the circle. Then pay a compliment to the person on the left, going around the circle and tell the person, "I love you."

Show love this week with acts of kindness. In the rush of the last days before Christmas it's easy to feel angry or impatient. Each day something annoying happens, stop and thank God for His love and forgive the person involved.

Make a special effort to show love to difficult people. Smile often. Be thankful that a person took time to give a gift even if the item is disappointing. Wish people a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year.

This week glow brightly with smiles and loving actions, reflecting a wreath that is all aglow.

Advent Prayer

Lord, hurry and come to us. May your light shine in our lives, so that we may be freed from sin. Protect us from all anxiety as we wait in joyful hope for your coming as our savior.
