    Ebooks at HCE

    We are in the process of evaluating the best ebook format for our library and developing a solid variety of titles within our collection. Here's the low down on viewing ebooks at HCE:

    - Go to library site: http://library.lcsd150.ab.ca/ - NOTE: the library collection is searchable from any device (iphone, smartphone, laptop, etc) as long as you have an Internet connection.

    - Click on Holy Cross Elementary

    - Click on "Catalogue" / search "ebook" in search bar

    - A list of all our ebooks will appear

    - Click on title of interest

    - Click on READ ONLINE and a special online viewer program will load the content of your book. NOTE - this viewer will work with iphones, smartphones, laptops, etc....as long as you have an internet connection, you can view our ebooks. Ebooks are perfect for reading/sharing via your classroom Smartboard. Some titles have a "read aloud" feature, but not every title has this functionality - and it's a bit glitchy - the speed can not currently be adjusted.

    - ALWAYS click on CLOSE BOOK ICON (book with green arrow showing it is being "closed") when you are finished or the book will remain "open" and unavailable for others to view.
